Most of the fun here happens outside, in farm country and the Everglades.

Everglades Alligator Farm
The Everglades Alligator Farm is on SW 192nd Avenue, the same road that runs along Juniper Cove's west edge. Its own website lists the address as 40351 SW 192nd Avenue. That puts it farther south on the same road, toward the national park.
The farm says it is South Florida's oldest alligator farm. It offers airboat rides, alligator and snake shows, and feeding shows. Businesses change their offers and times, so check before you go.
Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park is the biggest name on this side of Homestead. The National Park Service lists the Homestead entrance, at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, at 40001 State Road 9336. Its directions page says to take Palm Drive, which is State Road 9336, and follow the signs.
That matters for Juniper Cove. The builder's map shows SW 192nd Avenue along the community's west edge is also State Road 9336. So the road to the park runs right past you.
Homestead Bayfront Park and Biscayne National Park
For a beach day, head east. Miami-Dade County's Homestead Bayfront Park page lists an atoll pool and beach, boat ramps, a bait and tackle shop, and the Herbert Hoover Marina. The county says the marina sits next to the coral reefs of Biscayne National Park.
Biscayne National Park's mainland visitor center is on the same road. The National Park Service's Biscayne directions page lists the Dante Fascell Visitor Center at 9700 SW 328th Street. It says the park entrance is just before the entrance to Homestead Bayfront Marina.
The county page also names a restaurant at the park, La Playa Grill Seafood Bar. Restaurants change owners, menus and hours, so confirm before you plan a meal there.
